Drugs in Anna's System Not Prescribed to Her

The Broward County Medical Examiner confirmed that none of the 11 drugs that were found in Anna Nicole Smith's hotel room were prescribed to Smith.
FOX News anchor Greta Van Susteren obtained documents from Dr. Joshua Perper's office which shows that of the 11 drugs, eight were prescribed to Howard K. Stern, two were prescribed to Alex Katz and one was prescribed to Anna's personal shrink, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich. We don't know who Katz is, but Perper acknowledged one thing that was clear -- Dr. Eroshevich wrote all 11 prescriptions.
Perhaps most interesting, the chloral hydrate that was the major cause of Anna's death (and was prescribed to Stern) was in a duffel bag in the hotel room. As Greta said, Anna was too weak to even get out of bed to go to the bathroom, so how did she get out of bed to rummage through the duffle bag and get the chloral hydrate? Van Susteren pressed Perper for an answer; the doctor said he asked Stern, Eroshevich and the bodyguard if they gave her the drugs and they all said the didn't.
Perper also acknowledged it was a bad idea for Anna to take sedatives in the morning, given she was already too weak to get out of bed. Perper said even if someone else gave her the drugs, "It's not wise for sure, but it's not homicide."

Former child actor Brian Bonsall, who played Andy Keaton on Family Ties, was being held in a Boulder, Colo., jail Friday after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, the Associated Press reports.
Bonsall, 25, was arrested Wednesday on charges of second-degree assault and false imprisonment, according to the AP.
Bonsall's girlfriend told officers he poured an alcoholic drink on her face as she slept, put her in a chokehold and threw her onto a bed. Bonsall told police he acted in self-defense when she cut his arm and face with a steak knife, which she denied.

Federal testing of recalled pet foods turned up a chemical used to make plastics but failed to confirm the presence of a cancer drug also used as rat poison. The recall expanded Friday to include the first dry pet food.

Another Hollywood Divorce
Marie Osmond and her husband of more than 20 years are getting divorced, they announced Friday."Though our marriage is ending, we continue to have a very amicable relationship," Osmond and husband Brian Blosil, a record producer, said in a joint statement. "Our marriage has always been a faithful one, and neither of us is assigning fault for the divorce."
Osmond, 47, and Blosil, 54, were married in 1986, and have raised eight children, including five adopted children and a son from Osmond's first marriage. The couple separated for several months in 1998 but reconciled.

Wynonna Divorces Husband After Arrest
Country music singerWynonna Judd filed for divorce on Tuesday after her husband was arrested on what police said were sexual battery charges involving a child under 13.
Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said Judd's estranged husband, Dan. R. Roach, was arrested in Abilene, Texas, as a fugitive after his indictment by a Nashville grand jury last week.
"The indictment is the result of an investigation by the (local police department's) sex crimes unit that began in late February of this year," Aaron said. Roach will be returned to Nashville in the next few days, he said.
The divorce complaint filed in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, by attorney Rose Palermo only stated that the couple "are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife."
On her official Web site (www.wynonna.com), Judd, who sang with her mother Naomi as "The Judds" before going solo, said, "I am obviously devastated. Our family will pull together, begin the healing process and hopefully, by the grace of God, become stronger. We will move forward with our faith, family and our friends to find resolution to this difficult situation."
Judd, 42, was married to Roach, 49, in 2003. He was her bodyguard and road manager for 13 years and was described by her as a "very spiritual man."
The sexual battery charges against Roach were defined as inappropriate fondling and touching but not penetration, Aaron said. No other information was disclosed.

Eddie Griffin crashed a rare Ferrari Enzo worth $1.5 million into a concrete barrier while practicing at a racetrack, destroying the car but escaping uninjured.The 38-year-old actor-comedian was practicing Monday for a charity race to promote his upcoming film, "Redline," when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale Speedway. Video footage shows the red sports car screeching before it ricocheted off the barrier with heavy damage to its front.
The Enzo is owned by "Redline" executive producer Daniel Sadek, whose exotic car collection is featured in the movie.
Sadek said the Enzo was damaged beyond repair.

Mel Gibson exchanged angry words with a university professor who challenged the accuracy of his film "Apocalypto" at an on-campus screening. Gibson was answering questions from the crowd at California State University, Northridge, Thursday night when Alicia Estrada, an assistant professor of Central American studies, accused the actor-director of misrepresenting the Mayan culture in the movie. Today it was announced that rat poison is the cause of the pet food recall. The specific poison is not approved to be used in the US, but it may have been in the wheat from China. Maybe this is a good wake up call about our imports. Also- don't we have enough wheat in the US?

I was listening to Marc the Petkeeper on Martha Stewart/Sirius (he's the guy from her show that has a parrot on his shoulder, some kind of lisp, and you're not sure if he's gay or not).
Some little girl calls in to say her terrier ate the dog food that is on the recall list, had trouble peeing for awhile but now seems better- does he still need to go to the vet? Hmmm...lets think...OF COURSE YOU F*CKING IDIOT. Marc said it much nicer than I wouldve.
What kind of idiot parent made their kid call in with this question? You know the parent was hoping Marc would say "nah, Im sure you're dogs fine". People are idiots.

Cancer Returns
Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, has had a recurrence of cancer, this time incurable and in her bone, the couple announced at a midday news conference in Chapel Hill, N.C.
"Her cancer is back," said John Edwards, 53. "We are very optimistic. The key is to keep your head up, keep moving, be strong." Edwards also intends to continue his 2008 Democratic presidential bid.

Howard Stern has been encouraging people to vote for Sanjaya. He said if Sanjaya goes home, he knows the producers fixed it because people have been calling in telling Howard they voted for Sanjaya 70 times, 100 times, etc.
Howard just learned that the producers can change the vote if they dont like the outcome. Its in little print at the end of the show, but its been talked about before. American Idol isn't considered a gameshow, so it doesnt have to follow the game show rules of America(see the movie Game Show if you dont know what Im talking about).
