Tatem O'Neal started acting young (won an Oscar at 10 for Paper Moon), her mom was an addict and allegedly abandoned her children, and we all know what a maniac Ryan O' Neal allegedly is.
Tatem was arrested for trying to buy crack and cocaine. She tried to tell the police she was researching for a movie. That wouldn't even make sense in her case because she is well versed in this type of behavior. What would she be researching?
