Seattle screening of Young Frankenstein.
I'll be surprised if this isn't a huge hit.
If you like musicals, and you like Mel Brooks' style of humor you will like YF. Simple as that. Great cast, set design, choreography.
Roger Bart tries too hard not to be Gene Wilder and becomes some Jerry Lewis-like character.
Igor is very funny, as is Frau Brucher.
Not sure if they're keeping the espresso joke for Broadway or played it up for Seattle audiences (Frau: "some warm milk, perhaps? Ovaltine? double soy macchiato?"). The espresso line from the 1974 movie was removed (The hermit calls out "But I was going to make espresso"). Brooks was smart enough to know that two espresso jokes is one too many, not matter what city.
