Here are the reasons for the weird ceiling shots during the Emmys last night. Why the director cut to this shot, instead of just bleeping, I don't know. Very old school. They should've gone to black and then it would've at least seemed very Sopranos.
-Ray Romano said: "Frasier is screwing my wife" referring to the new tv show with Kelsey Grammar and Patricia Heaton.
-Katherine Heigl mouthed "sh*t" when she found out she won. We saw this, so why did they censor right after this? Afraid she would mouth other curse words?
-Sally Field said "Let's face it, if the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamned wars in the first place." It was Fox, so hard to say which of those words were offensive.
Unfortunately the applause broke up Sally's momentum and she forgot her speech. And she let us know she forgot her speech, which just took a dash out of it. Actors are suppose to make us believe it is all on the fly. And must she always be known for her speeches? Here she is uncensored:
