The Dark Knight, with $43 million, barely edges out The Mummy 3, with $42 million, to win at the box office.
I'm surprised the Mummy did that good, but I guess sometimes people just want to see a movie, despite a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That's one of the worst scores I've ever seen on RT.
