John Edwards repeatedly made a point of saying he told his wife about the affair in 2006. So, between the date this friendly photo was taken (December 27, 2006) and the end of 2006, New Year's Eve, he told his wife? Surely he didn't tell his wife before this photo, you wouldn't think Ms. Hunter would still have a job.
I know all of this is between the families, but I hope Elizabeth is smart enough to realize that baby is probably his (what, with that funky money trail and all).
It has to hurt that he is grinning SO BIG at a woman who wears dopey hair bands.
