Palin and the Julia Roberts Effect

I couldn't figure out why people would say they liked Palin, even though they knew very little about where she stands on the issues. One speech, and people think she's ready to run the country? There had to be something else.

Tonight she talked in circles when answering questions from Charlie Gibson. It was like me in an interview at Microsoft, although I was less defensive (yikes, she seemed mad he asked her actual questions).

And after hearing her speak I figured it out.

She has some minor resemblence to Julia Roberts in looks and voice. People subconsciously think they like her because of the Julia Roberts effect!

Send Clooney to Biden's house, STAT. Teach him the Clooney head bob and swagger.
