The press is already portraying M:i:III as a flop because it only brought in $48mil this weekend (an estimate since obviously Sunday's total isn't in).The previous Mission's opened on Memorial Weekend so they can't compare.
Sharon Stone would've killed for a $48mil weekend. Basic Instict 2 made $5mil in the US, not just on the weekend but total.
